Lightful
Lightful's core offering is a SaaS product that allows non-profits to manage social media campaigns.
After launching an MVP in early 2016 and growing a small user base, Lightful wanted to re-design and re-launch the platform to attract new customers.
Over a period of 9 months I worked with the product team to design, test and launch a new version of the platform which included a number of UX enhancements.

A sitemap was created that mapped out the main functionality and screens of the platform. These provided the basis of the UX architecture and were used as a reference point throughout the design and development process.
I created early stage wireframes for some of the key platform features using Balsamiq, but after some discussion with the team we decided that move to interactive prototyping.
We felt this would be a better approach to communicate layout and interaction solutions to the development team and other business stakeholders.
I created functional prototypes that allowed me to share and review my proposed design solutions with the development team and business stakeholders.
Using UXPin, I was not only able to prototype complex functionality with ease, but also work in a quick and iterative way that allowed me to meet the demanding timelines of the project.
I also collaborated closely with the in-house design team to conceptualise and create a UI pattern library that could be applied across both the online web platform and mobile app.
The pattern library provided a consistent set of elements that could be easily re-used by the design and development teams for further updates and feature releases within the platform.
Lightful launched their new website in 2017, leading to an increase in new user sign-ups and an overall increase in customer retention.
This was an interesting project to work on and I loved working with the Lighful team. I learned a lot about working with stakeholders, developing ideas and testing prototypes.
